Demco Classic Base Plate Kit Installation - 2014 Chevrolet Captiva Sport

Shane: Hi. I'm Shane with etrailer.com. Today, I'm going to walk through how to install Demco Baseplate with Fixed Arms on our 2014 Chevy Captiva Sport. The baseplate is going to attach to the chassis of the vehicle and what it's designed to do, is it allows you, or gives you, a solid attachment point for your tow bar on the back of your motor home. It's going to allow you to flat tow the vehicle behind the motor home while you're traveling. It's going to be a steel construction, very durable, very thick welds. Nice black-powder coat finish on it. more

Roadmaster Base Plate Installation - 2015 Chevrolet Captiva Sport

Today on our 2015 Chevrolet Captiva Sport, we're going to be taking a look at and installing the Roadmaster XL base plate kit with removable arms, part number 3151-1A. Here's what the base plate is going to look like once it's installed on the vehicle. As you can see, it maintains a nice, tight, clean appearance underneath the front fascia here as it just comes out through the lower air dam. This base plate is designed to make it nice and easy for hookup in order to put your removable arms in for attaching to the motor home. It's got a nice clean appearance here, and you've got your opening in order to put that removable arm into, and over here, this little tab with the hole in it is going to match up to the tab just like it on the removable arm. That way if you want, you can lock them together so that they can't be taken and move your vehicle. The arms are nice and easy to use. more
